about Kendall Bruns
Recently voted Cincinnati’s “Best Local Artist” by the readers of Cincinnati CityBeat, Kendall earned a BFA at the Art Academy of Cincinnati with an emphasis in sculpture. His work has been presented in national juried exhibitions, preserved in the Rhizome.org Artbase, and displayed at numerous galleries and art venues. Kendall’s active pursuit of the arts is materialized through many forms of creative expression including music, graphic design, performance, sculpture and video.
In May 2003 Cincinnati Magazine named Kendall a member of the city’s “Creative Class” - one of “75 young, passionate people shaping Cincinnati’s future,” and in August 2003 Kendall was ranked #17 on Cincinnati CityBeat’s list of “Next Influentials.” More recently Kendall was described as"everyone's favorite prolific eccentric" by Cincinnati CityBeat.
Together with Josh Flowers he created Pizza Infinity, a video production company, in 2004. Their short film All Two of Us was awarded "Best of Chicago" by the 48 Hour Film Project. They've also received awards and accolades from the Cincinnati Fringe Festival, Filmapalooza, Lite Brite Test, MegaCon Indie Film Expo, Melbourne Florida Indie Film Festival, New York State Museum Independent Film Festival and Underneath Cincinnati.
Kendall's recent projects include The Haircut, an 18-part documentary series about the 2007 Chicago Sketchfest, recording a weekly Pizza Infinity Podcast and working as a freelance graphic designer and DJ.
