Art Museum On Wheels
Kendall Bruns Contributes Art to Metro Buses (Moving Galleries)
Cincinnati, OH April 17, 2002 Cincinnati artist, Kendall Bruns, has
created original artwork that will be displayed inside Cincinnati Metro
buses until late Summer. Kendall has contributed this artwork as part of
Cincinnatiıs ³All Aboard Arts² program. A special exhibit of the display
cards will be held on Friday, April 26th at the Atrium of the Westin Hotel.
³All Aboard Arts² is presented by the Cincinnati Recreation Commissionıs
Arts for All program to bring art and poetry to the community using transit
signs inside Metroıs 430 buses to display original work of local artists and
writers.
Kendallıs transit signs feature messages that include; ³Why live in actual
size?², ³Sleep More², ³I Love Water² and ³2002: year of the palindrome².
Kendall believes, ³This is a perfect opportunity to reach an audience that
may not regularly visit a traditional art museum or gallery. My intention
is
to make the daily bus ride a little more interesting.²
African drums and dancers from Arts for All will kick off the April 26th
opening ceremonies at 5:45pm. The evening will continue with live music,
poetry readings and light refreshments

opportunities to Empowerment Zone artists and enrich the lives of residents
by offering arts programs.
Metro is a non-profit public service of the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit
Authority, providing almost 25 million rides per year in Greater Cincinnati.
About Kendall Bruns
Kendall Bruns is an artist in Cincinnati, Ohio, whose work has been
presented in national juried exhibitions and international publications,
preserved in the Rhizome.org art base, and displayed at numerous local
galleries and art venues. He earned a BFA at the Art Academy of Cincinnati
with an emphasis in sculpture. Kendallıs active pursuit of the arts is
materialized through many forms of creative expression including music,
digital art, graphic design, sculpture and video.
